Getting a Grip on the DSi

I saw a controller-like grip for the DSi the other day on Tiny Cartridge. It’s by Linx in Japan, and it’s slicker than you’d think. You snap your DSi into it (normal DSi, no old people LLs) and you get Gamecube style grips for your handheld. It’s got a spot at the top for holding a second DS card, two holes at the bottom for styluses, and a little spot under the screens to stick in just the tip of your stylus if your just putting it down for a moment. This is really useful when using the grip’s tripod feature. There’s an arm in the back that will swing out, and prop up the DSi. The grip is really comfortable to hold and costs around $11.00. Don’t think it’s available in the US, but you might be able to order it from Amazon Japan.

Nice. I love portables, but reverting to essentially holding an NES-style rectangular controller isn't one of the good points.

I do see a different DSi grip on US Amazon, but it's goofier looking, costs twice as much, and adds another rechargeable battery.
